The difference between ice and snow is dramatic and one of the best pieces of advice that I could ever give you when it comes to driving on ice is don’t even try it. When driving on ice, it’s not so much your ability as it is the condition of the ice, how absolutely slippery it is and things like this. In reality, when it comes to ice, you typically have no control of the vehicle at all. Even at 5 miles per hour, you can lose total control, so best thing–avoid driving on ice, period.
