Raised more than $34,000 and received national partnership award
CARCHEX, the industry-leading provider of direct-to-consumer Vehicle Protection Plans, reported that in 2015 it raised a total of $34,841 for Mothers Against Drunk Driving® (MADD). This brings the company’s two-year fundraising total for the organization to $57,041.
“Our corporate purpose is to protect Americans by helping to save lives on our nation’s roadways,” said CARCHEX CEO Jason Goldsmith. “Our employees believe strongly in this purpose and have been very supportive of MADD with their time and energy. Our partnership is strengthened by their continued commitment to this important cause and exemplified by our own Executive Vice President Joe Campanella being named co-vice chairman of fundraising of the MADD Maryland advisory board.”
Out of its total donations, CARCHEX raised $7,716 for MADD Maryland’s Walk Like MADD 2015 walk-a-thon. Employees, along with their families, friends and strategic business partners, participated in this event along the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.
CARCHEX’s commitment to MADD was recently recognized as a Strategic Alliance Partner. CARCHEX was presented this honor at the MADD Difference Makers Luncheon in June 2015.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts in support of MADD,” said Joe Campanella, executive vice president of CARCHEX. “Through my role on the MADD Maryland board, I see the great work they do in our communities. We will continue to support those efforts and grow our relationship with MADD in 2016.”
“MADD is proud to partner with CARCHEX for two years running,” said MADD National President Colleen Sheehey-Church, whose 18-year-old son Dustin was killed by an underage drunk and drugged driver. “CARCHEX’s support will help MADD further our mission efforts to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, serve the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.”
